When we create a concept space and then operate it sometimes there is a certain tunnel vision: we tend to believe that it is not possible to be successful in the same city unless we have an unlimited amount of resources.
When Catalina Opazo created Marlife, the city had other operators with a long track record, a good reputation and a well-defined range of clients. However, she opted to create something new with the experience she had acquired in the sector.
Catalina will tell us how she created an independent operator and how, in a market as dynamic as the one in Malaga, she has managed to make her way to the current five locations.
Objective
To explain Marlife's approach and keys to success. The idea is to inspire other independent operators to create a space with the right positioning.
