44 años Lexington

We tend to talk about 2012-2014 as the beginning of the flexible workspace industry but David Vega has been listening to conversations about this industry since 1981. Lexington's CEO will take us through the milestones that this four-decade-plus industry has experienced and reveal what learnings he has taken away from each moment.

Objective

To explain the evolution of the industry by focusing on key moments and the lessons we can take away from each phase.

Key points

  • To share the evolution of the industry by counting five (I don't think we should go beyond that) key moments that have marked different turning points in the industry. For example (just as an idea, the talk is given by you not me):
    • Beginnings: sharing is bad (At the level of clients because of image and us because of the discounts applied).
    • Appearance of coworking: WeWork makes coworking known or WeWork enters the Spanish market.
    • Merger with coworking: birth of flex as a hybrid of Coworking
  • See if there are patterns that repeat themselves: things that have happened at certain times and that can lead us to better understand how to behave when they happen again in the future.
  • I would pay special attention to: products & services we offer, extras, type of customer, technology, location of spaces, design of spaces, staff and human resources,...
