In 1999 he began to collaborate occasionally with several architects as a CAD and 3D operator. Within 2 years, the architectural and product visualization became a main professional activity that he practiced as a freelancer. In the following years, he directly experienced both the positive and negative aspects of working on his own. Hence in 2009 when he decided with a business partner to open their studio, it has been a natural, spontaneous choice to offer the space to other independent professionals. It took a flash intuition to acknowledge that this approach was called coworking, and that there was an already wide network of Italian coworking spaces: COWO. The 22A|22 project quickly began to become more complex, and its present aim is to concentrate within a single structure all the steps that bring a concept from its intuition up to the sales of the product. In order to accomplish this target, by the end of 2012, 22A|22 is scheduled to include the basic functions of a FabLab. Mattia is now the general manager of 22A|22 and has represented the network COWO in several contexts, both nationally and internationally.
