An engineer by training and restless by "profession", Juan Diego is a pioneer of coworking in Galicia. After finishing his first university studies, he worked in the environmental engineering and job training sectors, but, in the midst of the economic crisis, he decided to quit his job to start his entrepreneurial adventures. As part of this new phase, in 2012 he opened WeKCo, one of the first coworking spaces in Coruña and Galicia. Since then he has combined the management of this space with training projects and advice to entrepreneurs, as well as with the launch of his startup WeKAb.com, in the field of training for employment. Related to this last project, he is also the founder and director of Trainers for the Future: National Congress of Trainers, an event that in September 2019 will celebrate its third edition. As part of his journey in the world of coworking, for a couple of years he has also been doing consulting work on coworking and collaborative workspaces on a professional level. In this field, since March 2019 he has also been managing the public coworking space Pazo de Arenaza, the first project of the Provincial Council of A Coruña to create a network of public coworking spaces in different municipalities in the province of A Coruña.
